Bike Drawer is a free catalog of used cycling gear for sale in New York City.

It exists because New York apartments don’t have storage, cyclists are upgrade-obsessed and have gear that is still in great condition, and the existing channels all fall short in their own ways: short-lived WhatsApp group posts, Facebook Marketplace scams, Craigslist dodgy listings, eBay’s shipping tax. And because throwing away good gear is not an option, whereas reselling it puts cash toward the next upgrade.

It’s a single, high-trust, easy-to-use place for members of the NYC cycling community to list cycling gear they don’t need and find used gear they do.

The site is simple and bare-bones on purpose. Anyone can post a listing for free, anyone can browse. Buyers DM sellers directly. Handoffs happen in person — at a Saturday group ride, a coffee shop, a building lobby. No payments through the platform, no shipping, no accounts.

It sits underneath existing WhatsApp for-sale channels rather than replacing them. Post your durable, searchable Bike Drawer listing in your WhatsApp groups, on your Instagram and Facebook accounts and anywhere else you already post.
