Terms of use

Plain English on purpose. By posting or using Bike Drawer, you agree to this and to the Community Guidelines.

What Bike Drawer is

Bike Drawer is a free, NYC-local listings board for used cycling gear. It lets buyers find sellers — nothing more. We are not a party to any sale, not a broker, not an agent, and not an escrow. We don’t take payments, don’t handle shipping, and don’t hold or move money. Every transaction happens directly between buyer and seller, in person.

No verification, no warranty — use your judgment

We run basic anti-spam and moderate the site, but we do not verify items, sellers, buyers, prices, conditions, or claims. Listings are posted by users. Everything here is provided “as is,” with no warranties of any kind. You are responsible for inspecting an item, judging the person, and deciding to buy or sell. Meet in public, inspect before you pay, and never pay before the item is in your hands.

An “Introduced by …” label is not a guarantee, endorsement, or verification. It only means another seller created an invite for that person. The introduction is a social signal between users — not a promise by Bike Drawer or by the introducer, and it doesn’t shift any responsibility onto either. Treat introduced and New sellers with the same caution.

Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Bike Drawer and its operator are not liable for anything arising from your use of the site or any interaction it leads to — including items, money, meetups, injuries, losses, disputes, or the conduct of any user. You use the site and meet people at your own risk.

Your listings

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give us permission to display, store, and distribute your listing on the site. You promise that you own the item and may legally sell it, that your listing is truthful, and that it doesn’t infringe anyone’s rights or break any law. Don’t post stolen, counterfeit, illegal, or misrepresented goods (see Guidelines). For e-bikes, e-scooters, and batteries, “legal to sell” includes New York’s safety-certification law (Local Law 39 — UL 2849/2271/2272): don’t list uncertified units.

Our final say

We can remove any listing, block any user, or change the site at any time, for any reason, at our sole discretion — to keep this a trustworthy place. Good-faith moderation doesn’t make us responsible for what users post.

Respect copyright. We respond to valid DMCA notices and bar repeat infringers. To report infringing content (or to file a counter-notice), see our Copyright & DMCA policy and contact our registered designated agent at dmca@bikedrawer.com. Manufacturer/stock images, where shown, belong to their owners and are labeled as not the actual item.

No payments, no shipping, no accounts

There is no payment, escrow, or shipping through Bike Drawer — by design. There are no buyer or seller accounts; sellers manage listings through a private emailed link.

Changes, law, contact

We may update these terms; continued use means you accept the current version. This is governed by the laws of the State of New York. Questions, abuse, or legal notices: hello@bikedrawer.com.
